---as per the Fraser Health Authority Public Health Order---
-there will be one entry, one exit point at 4940 Canada Way. Entry to the parking lot will be from Ledger Avenue.
-I will collect a name and phone number of each driver entering the lot at 4940 Canada Way. This information will be saved for 30 days for contact tracing. The information will be deleted after 30 days.
-while at 4940 Canada Way, it will be recommended to remain in your vehicles.
-if you have to exit your vehicle, masks will be REQUIRED.
-there will be NO driver meeting. Route and itinerary information will be available on the Cruise website and via QR code scan on parking lot entry at 4940 Canada Way.
-there will be a 50 vehicle maximum limit while at 4940 Canada Way.
-the scheduled departure time will be 09:30am for the first food bank.
-if the 50 vehicle limit is reached before 09:30am, we will depart early to the first food bank.
-please remain in your vehicle at all food bank locations unless directed otherwise by the on-site volunteers/staff members.
-of course, drive safe, have fun and enjoy!!

***Remember to send in pictures to this email address to get your entries in for the prizes from the awesome sponsors for the Cruise. Pictures of your carload, the volunteers at the food banks, neat landmarks encountered, other Cruise'rs...whatever you wish. A maximum of 10 picture entries will be used for prizes but feel free to send as many pictures as you take throughout the day. All of these pictures will be used for an event gallery posted next week. ***Your picture submissions are an agreement to use those pictures online. If you DO NOT wish to have your pictures posted online but ONLY used for the prize entries, please let me know when you email your pictures.*** The prize draw will happen online Sunday April 25. I will post the video to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. I will contact each prize winner to arrange a prize drop-off the following week.
Purpose
To honour a man who meant so much to so many people (my dad) and to remember those who are special for many others.
To unite those who have one common interest and give to a cause that may make a difference in someone else’s life.
Who
This event is for everyone, simple. No matter what you drive, no matter the circumstance, there is someone who has had an impact in your life that you may feel you need to say "thanks" by way of a simple donation or action.
Why
This will mark ten years since my dad passed away. I want to keep his memory alive and wish to make this an annual event. I know there are many, many different organizations and events that give and support many, many different causes but there seems to be very little that make me feel I can remember and support what my dad went through. I wanted to do something I enjoy doing and support a cause specific to my desire and know there must be many other people around who wish to do the same. So I hope that this is the start of something new. We can all remember who we want, support who we want and gather together to drive!!
How to participate
***FORMAT FOR 2021***
New for the 2021 event is the drive-by and drop-off format for our local food banks. 10 local food banks for 10 years of the Cruise. There will be timeslots for 10 food banks from Richmond to Abbotsford. Bring along non-perishable food items to be dropped off at each food bank from the safety of your vehicle. That's right, you won't even have to leave your vehicle to make your donation drop-off at each food bank location. Drive-in, drop-off and move on to the next food bank location. A super simple and effective way to show our support for our local communities.

Your confirmation number will also be used for the raffle prize giveaways that will happen throughout the Cruise. No other personal information will be collected. Your charity name and amount will be posted on the website to highlight the diversity of needs and challenges facing our local community and abroad.
